The Edexcel BTEC Level 7 qualifications in Strategic Management and Leadership have been developed to give learners the opportunity to engage in learning that is relevant to them and which will provide opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal skills and attributes essential for successful performance in working life achieve a nationally recognised Level 7 vocationally-related qualification progress to employment in a particular vocational sector progress to related general and/or vocational qualifications.


The Pearson BTEC Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training (QCF) prepares trainee teachers and trainers to teach in a wide range of contexts. To achieve the qualification, there is a requirement for teaching practice that requires observation and assessment of performance.

BTEC Higher Nationals are designed to provide specialist vocational programmes, linked to professional body requirements and National Occupational Standards. The qualifications provide a thorough grounding in the key concepts and practical skills required in their sector and their national recognition by employers allows progression direct into employment. The Pearson BTEC Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Computing offers students a broad introduction to the subject area via a mandatory core of learning, while allowing for the acquisition of skills and experience through the selection of optional units across a range of occupational sectors at Level 4. This effectively builds underpinning core skills while preparing the student for subject specialisation at Level 5. Students will gain a wide range of sector knowledge tied to practical skills gained in research, self-study, directed study and workplace scenarios.
